Texas High School Volleyball - Stafford can't hold off La Marque

In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting La Marque Cougars volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Stafford Spartans.

The Cougars (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against South Houston (South Houston, TX). The Trojans come into the 6A Region III District 22 battle with a 7-10 record. In their last battle, South Houston was edged by Eisenhower (Houston, TX), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Spartans encounter the Dekaney Wildcats (Houston, TX) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 30. Stafford will attempt to move on its 2-19 season record. The Wildcats come into the battle with a 0-15 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Caney Creek (Conroe, TX).
