South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) followers went home pleased Tuesday as they saw their flag football team gain a win over the host Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK), 16-6 in a league battle.

With the win, South Anchorage advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Wasilla (Wasilla, AK) to play the Warriors in a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 3-0. Wasilla won 35-0 in their recent league battle against Colony (Palmer, AK)

The Thunderbirds now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Dimond for a Cook Inlet battle on Thursday, August 29. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will play a Lynx team coming off a 24-0 league loss to West Anchorage (Anchorage, AK). The Lynx record now stands at 2-2.
