The Fruitland Grizzlies soccer squad scored 11 points and held the visiting Emmett Huskies to 1 in the Grizzlies league victory on Tuesday.
The Grizzlies now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Homedale for a 3A District III bout on Thursday, August 29. Fruitland will play a Trojans squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Payette (Payette, ID). The Trojans record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Emmett moves to 0-1 on the year. The Huskies host Weiser (Weiser, ID) to play the Wolverines in a 3A District III bout on Tuesday, September 3. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Weiser lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against McCall-Donnelly (McCall, ID)
