Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) and the visiting Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC), observed Lincolnton's volleyball team hold off Bunker Hill by a count of 2-1.

The Wolves (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Golden Lions enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Shelby got by Cherryville (Cherryville, NC), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Bears battle the West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 29. Bunker Hill will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record.
