The Hampton Hornets softball squad (Hampton, GA), was routed 13-5 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Locust Grove Wildcats (Locust Grove, GA)

With the triumph, Locust Grove improves its record to 6-5 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Union Grove (McDonough, GA) to face the Wolverines in a 4A Region 2 contest on Thursday, August 29. The Wolverines enter the contest with a record of 8-3. Union Grove won 10-3 in their recent league contest against Stockbridge (Stockbridge, GA)

The Hornets now hold a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Ola for a 4A Region 2 contest on Thursday, August 29. Hampton will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Eagle's Landing (McDonough, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 12-3.
