The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Metter Tigers (Metter, GA) and the host Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA), observed Metter's softball team notch a victory over Jenkins County by a tally of 14-0.

The Tigers (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Islands (Savannah, GA). The Sharks go into the non-league bout with a 2-5 record. In their last bout, Islands was routed by Liberty County (Hinesville, GA), 5-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the War Eagles battle the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs (Twin City, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 3 bout, on Thursday, August 29. Jenkins County will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 12-0 league win over Portal (Portal, GA).
