In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Porter Pirates softball team scored a nice 11-3 victory over the Mounds Golden Eagles.

The Pirates (8-5) will now prepare for their match against Dewar (Dewar, OK). The Dragons go into the Class A match with a 19-0 record. In their last match, Dewar gained a win over Wilson-Henryetta (Henryetta, OK), 9-3, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles battle the Liberty Tigers (Mounds, OK) in a 2A match, on Thursday, August 29. Mounds will attempt to better on its 5-11 season record. The Tigers go into the match with a 1-7 record after their 20-4 non-league loss to Okmulgee (Okmulgee, OK).
