The Oglethorpe County Patriots softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Rabun County Wildcats to 9 in the Patriots league win on Tuesday.

The Patriots now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Providence Christian Academy for a 1A D-I Region 8 battle on Thursday, August 29. Oglethorpe County will confront a Storm team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Banks County (Homer, GA). The Storm record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Rabun County moves to 2-6 on the season. The Wildcats host Elbert County (Elberton, GA) to confront the Blue Devils in a 1A D-I Region 8 battle on Thursday, August 29. The Blue Devils come into the battle with a record of 4-7. Elbert County won 13-0 in their recent league battle against Commerce (Commerce, GA)
