North Carolina High School Volleyball - NCSSM: Durham over Franklin Academy

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns (Durham, NC) and the host Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC), observed NCSSM: Durham's volleyball team top Franklin Academy by a count of 3-0.

The Unicorns (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against East Wake Academy (Zebulon, NC). The Eagles enter the Super Six 1A/2A contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, East Wake Academy notched a victory over Oxford Prep (Oxford, NC), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Patriots battle the Research Triangle Raptors (Research Triangle Park, NC) in a Super Six 1A/2A contest, on Thursday, August 29. Franklin Academy will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Raptors enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Wake Prep Academy (Wake Forest, NC).
