Match Summary
Entering the Varsity match, our two seniors Kayla Zeiss and Nicole McWilson had bounced back from a rough outing at EA the previous Thursday and were prepared to play! After allowing a very long serve run by the Lady Knights early in the first set, our girls started out in a deep hole and were unable to climb back out. After that set, we managed to keep it closer in the remaining three sets, including a victory in the 3rd. The fourth set was a back and forth affair, with our girls keeping it close until nearly the end of the set. We were on a strong run when a costly hitting error cut it short, and we were unable to get back into the set. In summary, while our Varsity girls played a solid game, the Knights' height and hitting skill at the net proved difficult to overcome. All in all, it was a very good outing at SBCA tonight, a fun game to watch, with our girls exhibiting good serving, great hustle to the ball, great net play, fairly good passing and a strong hitting game.
