In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Resurrection Catholic Eagles volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Sacred Heart Crusaders.

The Eagles (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Salem (Tylertown, MS). The Wildcats come into the Class 1A Region 8 challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Salem got by North Pike (Summit, MS), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Crusaders battle the Lumberton Panthers (Lumberton, MS) in a Class 1A Region 8 contest, on Thursday, August 29. Sacred Heart will attempt to move on its 6-5 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 2-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to East Marion (Columbia, MS).
