California High School Flag Football - Edison can't hold off Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach Oilers (Huntington Beach, CA) followers went home pleased Wednesday as they saw their flag football squad nudge the host Edison Chargers (Huntington Beach, CA), 14-12 in a league match.

The Oilers (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA). The Sailors come into the Sunset match with a 8-0 record. In their last match, Newport Harbor tipped Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA), 21-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Chargers confront the San Clemente Tritons (San Clemente, CA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 28. Edison will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Tritons go into the battle with a 3-1 record after their 27-0 non-league win over Ayala (Chino Hills, CA).
