The Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) soccer overwhelmed the visiting East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), 5-0 in Wednesday's league challenge.

The Bulldogs now hold a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Forestview for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. Burns will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 3-3 non-league North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, East Gaston moves to 0-2 on the year. The Warriors host Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to encounter the Ironmen in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, September 2. The Ironmen enter the contest with a record of 0-4. Cherryville lost 9-0 in their recent league contest against Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC)
