In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Hampton Roads Academy Navigators (Newport News, VA) soccer team edged the host First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), by a margin of 2-1.
The Navigators now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Veritas School for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 29. Hampton Roads Academy will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Grace Christian School (Mechanicsville, VA). The Lions record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, First Flight moves to 1-1 on the year. The Nighthawks travel to Norfolk Academy (Norfolk, VA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Thursday, August 28. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 0-0.
