With the triumph, Portage moves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Indians host Munster (Munster, IN) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 1-2. Munster lost 3-2 in their recent league test against Lowell (Lowell, IN)

The Pirates now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Porte for a Duneland outing on Wednesday, September 3. Merrillville will confront a Slicers squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN). The Slicers record now stands at 1-3.
