Georgia High School Softball - Seckinger bounces Lanier

August 27, 2025: Sugar Hill, GA 30518

The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Seckinger Jaguars (Buford, GA) and the host Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA), observed Seckinger's softball team notch a victory over Lanier by a final score of 17-4.

The Jaguars (5-4) will now prepare for their bout against Chattahoochee (Alpharetta, GA). The Cougars go into the 5A Region 7 game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, Chattahoochee was routed by Milton (Milton, GA), 15-0, in a league game.

The Longhorns now hold a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Johns Creek for a 5A Region 7 game on Thursday, August 28. Lanier will face a Gladiators squad coming off a 20-1 league win over Gainesville (Gainesville, GA). The Gladiators record now stands at 5-8.
