In Wednesday's non-league bout, the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) volleyball team knocked off the host South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), by a margin of 3-1.

The Bearcats now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Central Academy of Technology & Arts for a Rocky River 4A/5A bout on Thursday, August 28. Anson will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Olympic (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 4-4.

The Rowdy Rebel Bulls (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Albemarle notched a victory over Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 3-0, in a non-league match.
