North Carolina High School Volleyball - Cape Fear edged by Harnett Central

August 27, 2025: Fayetteville, NC 28312

Harnett Central Trojans (Angier, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Harnett Central improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Trojans host Western Harnett (Lillington, NC) to encounter the Eagles in a Carolina Pines 6A test on Thursday, August 28. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 0-3. Western Harnett lost 3-1 in their recent league test against Southern Lee (Sanford, NC)

The Colts now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Central for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 28. Cape Fear will meet a Falcons team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Croatan (Newport, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 5-1.
