The Western Panthers volleyball squad (Russiaville, IN), was defeated 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Eastern Comets (Greentown, IN)

With the win, Eastern improves its record to 6-3 on the season. The Comets host Rossville (Rossville, IN) to encounter the Hornets in a Hoosier Heartland battle on Thursday, August 28. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Rossville won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Twin Lakes (Monticello, IN)

Next, the Panthers meet the Clinton Central Bulldogs (Michigantown, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 28. Western will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over University (Carmel, IN).
