Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Fairview Eagles (Ashland, KY) and the visiting Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY), observed Fairview's volleyball team top Lewis County by a count of 3-0.

The Eagles (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Boyd County (Ashland, KY). The Lions enter the District 64 contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Boyd County was knocked off by Cabell Midland (Ona, WV), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Lions battle the Fleming County Panthers (Flemingsburg, KY) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 28. Lewis County will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 2-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Rowan County (Morehead, KY).
