The Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) volleyball knocked off the host Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights (Wheeling, WV), 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Purple Riders now possess a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Bellaire for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 28.

With the loss, Wheeling Central Catholic drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Maroon knights travel to Shadyside (Shadyside, OH) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 28. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Shadyside lost 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against The Linsly School (Wheeling, WV)
