The Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) volleyball knocked off the visiting Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC), 3-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Rams now possess a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alleghany for a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A match on Thursday, August 28. Starmount will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 1-4.
The Granite Bears (4-4) will now prepare for their match against West Stokes (King, NC). The Wildcats enter the Northwest 3A/4A bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, West Stokes fell by South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 3-1, in a non-league bout.
