The Pleasant Grove Hawks volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Pine Tree Pirates to 0 in the Hawks non-league victory on Saturday.
The Hawks now have a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gilmer for a 4A Region II District 15 game on Saturday, August 28. Pleasant Grove will meet a Buckeyes team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Hallsville (Hallsville, TX). The Buckeyes record now stands at 13-7.
The Pirates (4-7) will now prepare for their game against East Texas Homeschool Sports (Longview, TX). The Chargers enter the non-league game with a 10-2 record. In their last game, East Texas Homeschool Sports gained a win over Ore City (Ore City, TX), 3-0, in a non-league game.
