The Elk City Elks softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Kingfisher Yellowjackets to 5 in the Elks league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Elk City improves its record to 14-8 on the year. The Elks host Woodward (Woodward, OK) to clash with the Boomers in a non-league game on Tuesday, August 29. The Boomers come into the game with a record of 13-9. Woodward won 10-6 in their recent league game against Guymon (Guymon, OK)
In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Alva Goldbugs (Alva, OK) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 31. Kingfisher will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Goldbugs come into the game with a 7-8 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Newkirk (Newkirk, OK).
