The Vinita Hornets softball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Quapaw Wildcats to 5 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Vinita moves its record to 6-11 on the year. The Hornets host Grove (Grove, OK) to clash with the Ridgerunners in a non-league game on Tuesday, August 29. The Ridgerunners come into the game with a record of 6-4. Grove lost 10-4 in their recent non-league game against Claremore (Claremore, OK)
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Welch Wildcats (Welch, OK) in a Class A game, on Tuesday, August 29. Quapaw will attempt to move on its 8-9 season record.
