The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA) and the visiting Arleta Mustangs (Arleta, CA), saw Chavez's volleyball squad nip Arleta by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Chavez upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Eagles host North Hollywood (North Hollywood, CA) to play the Huskies in a East Valley bout on Thursday, August 31. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 5-3. North Hollywood lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Poly (Sun Valley, CA)

The Mustangs now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Northridge Academy for a non-league bout on Wednesday, August 30. Arleta will play a Pumas squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Canoga Park (Canoga Park, CA). The Pumas record now stands at 2-2.
