In Monday's non-league battle, the host Lawrence County Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Magoffin County Hornets.

The Bulldogs (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY). The Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Pike County Central went down by Paintsville (Paintsville, KY), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Hornets encounter the Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) in a District 57 battle, on Tuesday, September 5. Magoffin County will attempt to move on its 0-6 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the battle with a 9-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Martin County (Inez, KY).
