Mississippi High School Volleyball - Newton County over Neshoba Central

The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) and the visiting Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS), saw Newton County's volleyball squad beat Neshoba Central by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Newton County upgrades its record to 18-2 on the year. The Cougars travel to Union (Union, MS) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 29. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 11-8. Union lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Newton County (Decatur, MS)

The Rockets now own a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Vicksburg for a non-league match on Tuesday, August 29. Neshoba Central will clash with a Gators squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Raymond (Raymond, MS). The Gators record now stands at 4-0.
