The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM) and the host Friona Chieftans (Friona, TX), saw Clovis's volleyball squad notch a victory over Friona by a score of 2-0.

The Wildcats (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM). The Demons enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Santa Fe beat Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Chieftans meet the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Friona will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
