The Wakefield Wolverines volleyball squad (Raleigh, NC), was defeated 2-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC)

The Pirates (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC). The Jaguars enter the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Athens Drive was beaten by Enloe (Raleigh, NC), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines meet the Rolesville Rams (Rolesville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Wakefield will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Rams go into the test with a 3-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Broughton (Raleigh, NC).
