In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Franklin Panthers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Pisgah Bears.

The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Tuscola beat Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bears meet the West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Pisgah will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC).
