In Thursday's league challenge, the host Pungo Christian Academy Raiders volleyball squad scored a 2-0 win over the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans.
With the win, Pungo Christian Academy advances its record to 2-2 on the season. The Raiders host Albemarle School (Elizabeth City, NC) to face the Colts in a test on Tuesday, September 2. The Colts go into the test with a record of 0-2.
The Spartans now sport a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brunswick Academy for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 3. Kerr-Vance Academy will face a Vikings squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-4.
