In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Mountain Island Charter Raptors.
The Gryphons (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC). The Stallions enter the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Queen's Grant was beaten by Union Academy (Monroe, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Raptors now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kings Mountain for a non-league test on Monday, September 8.
