Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Westville Buffaloes (Georgetown, IL) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL), 3-1 in a league outing.

The Buffaloes (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL). The Blue Devils go into the Vermilion Valley outing with a 3-0 record. In their last outing, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin got by Schlarman (Danville, IL), 8-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Cornjerkers play the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) in a non-league outing, on Friday, August 29. Hoopeston will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 3-0 record after their 5-3 non-league win over Urbana University (Urbana, IL).
