Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer squad triumph over the host New Hope-Solebury Lions (New Hope, PA), 5-0 in a non-league outing.

The Spartans (4-0) will now prepare for their outing against Lower Moreland (Huntingdon Valley, PA). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 4-0 record. In their last outing, Lower Moreland got by Cheltenham (Wyncote, PA), 1-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Lions play the Upper Moreland Bears (Willow Grove, PA) in a Suburban One - American game, on Wednesday, September 3. New Hope-Solebury will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Bears come into the game with a 2-1 record after their 2-2 non-league Calvary Christian Academy (Philadelphia, PA).
