In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Preble Shawnee Arrows soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Newton Local Indians.
The Arrows (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Yellow Springs (Yellow Springs, OH). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 1-2 record. In their last outing, Yellow Springs got by Greeneview (Jamestown, OH), 4-2, in a non-league outing.
In their next game, the Indians clash with the Franklin Monroe Jets (Pitsburg, OH) in a Western Ohio Athletic test, on Thursday, September 4. Newton Local will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Jets come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Emmanuel Christian Academy (Springfield, OH).
