Georgia High School Softball - Villa Rica gets by Alexander

August 28, 2025: Douglasville, GA 30135

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Villa Rica Wildcats (Villa Rica, GA) and the host Alexander Cougars (Douglasville, GA), observed Villa Rica's softball team nip Alexander by a score of 6-5.

With the triumph, Villa Rica improves its record to 7-3 on the year. The Wildcats host Rome (Rome, GA) to face the Wolves in a 5A Region 5 contest on Thursday, September 4. The Wolves enter the contest with a record of 4-4.

The Cougars now hold a 6-1 record. They play next when they host Bremen for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 2. Alexander will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 5-3 league win over Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-3.
