Nebraska High School Softball - Polk County held off by Boone Central

The Boone Central Cardinals got by the host Polk County Slammers softball squad by a count of 11-10 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Highway 91 (Leigh, NE) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 30. Boone Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 11-5 league loss to Pierce (Pierce, NE).

With the loss, Polk County moves to 1-5 on the season. The Slammers travel to St. Paul (St. Paul, NE) to encounter the Wildcats in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2. The Wildcats come into the outing with a record of 2-4. St. Paul lost 6-1 in their recent non-league outing against Milford (Milford, NE)
