Georgia High School Softball - Southland Academy bounces Brookstone

August 28, 2025: Americus, GA 31709

In Thursday's non-league match, the host Southland Academy Raiders softball team scored a tight 5-1 win over the Brookstone Cougars.

The Raiders (8-4) will now prepare for their match against Fullington Academy (Pinehurst, GA). The Trojans come into the GIAA Class A & AA District 3 match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Fullington Academy nipped Tiftarea Academy (Chula, GA), 12-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Cougars meet the Manchester Blue Devils (Manchester, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Brookstone will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 18-1 non-league loss to Marion County (Buena Vista, GA).
