Georgia High School Softball - Bryan County bounces Portal

In Thursday's league match, the host Bryan County Redskins softball team scored a tight 8-2 win over the Portal Panthers.

The Redskins (8-5) will now prepare for their match against Statesboro (Statesboro, GA). The Blue Devils come into the non-league match with a 2-7 record. In their last match, Statesboro nipped Brunswick (Brunswick, GA), 3-1, in a league game.

The Panthers now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Jenkins County for a 1A D-II Region 3 game on Wednesday, September 3. Portal will play a War Eagles squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 4-5.
