The North Springs Spartans routed the visiting Clarkston Angoras softball team by a margin of 7-0 in Thursday's league battle.

The Spartans now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Druid Hills for a 4A Region 5 battle on Tuesday, September 2. North Springs will confront a Red Devils team coming off a 18-13 non-league loss to Lakeside (Atlanta, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 0-2.

The Angoras (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Pius X Catholic (Atlanta, GA). The Golden Lions go into the 4A Region 5 challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, St. Pius X Catholic held off Southwest DeKalb (Decatur, GA), 8-2, in a league challenge.
