The Claxton Tigers routed the visiting McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers softball team by a margin of 12-0 in Thursday's league outing.

The Tigers now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Metter for a 1A D-II Region 3 test on Tuesday, September 2. Claxton will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Screven County (Sylvania, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-4.

The Buccaneers (6-9) will now prepare for their outing against Charlton County (Folkston, GA). The Indians come into the non-league outing with a 8-5 record. In their last outing, Charlton County beat Turner County (Ashburn, GA), 24-5, in a league outing.
