The Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles to 0 in the Bulldogs league win on Thursday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vidalia for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. Emanuel County Institute will meet a Indians squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA). The Indians record now stands at 7-6.

The War Eagles (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Portal (Portal, GA). The Panthers enter the 1A D-II Region 3 challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Portal was routed by Bryan County (Pembroke, GA), 8-2, in a league challenge.
