Georgia High School Softball - Long County bounces Islands

August 28, 2025: Ludowici, GA 31316

The Long County Blue Tide softball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Islands Sharks to 0 in the Blue Tide league win on Thursday.

The Blue Tide now sport a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Jenkins for a 3A Region 3 test on Tuesday, September 2. Long County will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 26-10 league win over Calvary Day (Savannah, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-8.

The Sharks (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Yellow Jackets go into the 3A Region 3 test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Southeast Bulloch toppled Liberty County (Hinesville, GA), 19-0, in a league test.
