Piedmont Wildcats (Piedmont, OK) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Norman Tigers (Norman, OK), 5-1 in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elgin for a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. Piedmont will confront a Owls team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Southmoore (Moore, OK). The Owls record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Norman moves to 1-7 on the season. The Tigers host Deer Creek (Edmond, OK) to play the Antlers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. The Antlers enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Deer Creek lost 8-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Carl Albert (Midwest City, OK)
