In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Sigourney Savages volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Cardinal Comets.
The Savages (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record.
Next, the Comets meet the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets (Eddyville, IA) in a South Central challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Cardinal will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Don Bosco (Gilbertville, IA).
