In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Hillsboro Eagles volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Castleberry Lions.
The Eagles (15-4) will now prepare for their test against Axtell (Axtell, TX). The Longhorns go into the non-league test with a 3-8 record. In their last test, Axtell went down by Riesel (Riesel, TX), 3-1, in a non-league test.
The Lions now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Hills for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Castleberry will face a Scorpions squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Seguin (Arlington, TX). The Scorpions record now stands at 3-13.
