Tennessee High School Volleyball - Maryville tips Cleveland

Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Maryville Red Rebels (Maryville, TN) and the visiting Cleveland Blue Raiders (Cleveland, TN), observed Maryville's volleyball team hold off Cleveland by a count of 2-1.

The Red Rebels (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Baylor (Chattanooga, TN). The Red Raiders go into the non-league battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Baylor tipped East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Blue Raiders now own a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walker Valley for a AAA District 5 battle on Thursday, August 28. Cleveland will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Howard Tech (Chattanooga, TN). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-4.
