In Thursday's league match, the Crosstown Explorers (Memphis, TN) volleyball squad prevailed the host Memphis Rise Academy (Memphis, TN), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Explorers confront the Memphis Business Academy Execs (Memphis, TN) in a A District 14 match, on Friday, August 29. Crosstown will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Execs enter the match with a 5-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Mitchell (Memphis, TN).
