In Thursday's league challenge, the host Newport Harbor Sailors volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Edison Chargers.

The Sailors (9-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Marina (Huntington Beach, CA). The Vikings enter the Sunset - Surf test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Marina gained a win over Pacifica Christian (Newport Beach, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Chargers now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Los Alamitos for a Sunset - Surf test on Tuesday, September 2. Edison will face a Griffins squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Fountain Valley (Fountain Valley, CA). The Griffins record now stands at 7-4.
